Sunflex is a DIY Pergola Bracket System.
The classic pergola method is created by notching and joining the ends and different parts of the pergola wood. Since wood is a soft material, struts will be needed to make the connection points durable and to keep the pergola standing. All notched places will also have to be strengthened using screws, bolts, L, U elements or much more expensive fasteners. Also, it will be difficult to balance it squared.
The Sunflex System is obtained by welding parts that are cut 90 degrees in laser and bent to form 90 degree angles again. It allows you to obtain a pergola that will always remain straight by grasping the pergola wood firmly from 4 sides and maintains this durability against wind, human impact and blows without any problems.
The Sunflex Bracket System can be easily assembled in the assembly area without the need for notching with timber of appropriate dimensions. While the Sunflex System gives confidence to your pergola, it will also save time and labor.
Assemble it for fun with your family or friends.
Dry timber resistant to outdoor weather conditions should be used.
Although tree types vary according to countries and climates, pine type trees with resin in their pores, which are the most used and can be obtained at affordable prices, are Cedar, Spruce, Scots Pine, Black Pine.
While hard trees such as Chestnut, Ash, Oak, Eucalyptus Acacia can be used, exotic trees such as African Origin Iroko, Mahogany, Ayous can also be used.
Timber can be stocked in the market by rough cutting in sections of 5 x 10 cm, 10 x 10 cm, 15 x 15 cm. These dimensions can drop to 4.5 x 9.5 and 9.5 x 9.5 cm in rough cutting from company to company.
Considering 5 mm fine workmanship cleaning margin, the timber to be used in our Sunflex Brackets should be 9×9, 14×14 cm.
Considering that changes in weather conditions and surface treatments to be applied may change the wood size, the internal dimensions of our Sunflex Brackets are left as 92 x92 and 142 x 142.
You can make the dimensions of your pergola according to the condition of your place or your request.
According to the timber lengths in the market and the standard of our shades, in sections that are 9 x 9 (These dimensions are given so that it can be calculated whether it will fit in the place where you will use your pergola.)
By adding 50 cm to the 260 x 260 cm outside-to-outside dimension, up to 360 cm, and in sections that are 14 x 14 cm, by adding 50 cm to the 270 x 270 cm outside-to-outside dimension, you can enlarge it up to 420 cm. For your larger needs, you have to use pillars or increase the number of sections.
You can benefit from the drawing below.
The Sunflex outside-to-outside standard is based on the dimensions you can obtain timber from the market.

Considering availability in the market, Sunflex considered net timber lengths as 240 cm, 290 cm, 340 cm, 390 cm and prepared its shades according to these dimensions. Timber types vary by region. The timber to be used varies in many different prices depending on the need, from construction timber to extra class. Timber transportation is very expensive. It is also a material open to damage during shipment. We do not include timber to allow for decision diversity.
However, for our insistent customers, we offer high quality wooden beams produced with our partner brand Timberlex.
Since the ground where the pergola will be placed will vary, we expect you to decide on the correct fixing screws.
The brackets are manufactured with sufficient durability to carry wooden beams.
You can connect the brackets with 6 screws per beam as shown below. The extra holes left in the brackets are left for you to hang other Sunflex products or some accessories that may be needed.
Although information about timber is given above, taking a piece of your brackets to the place where you will obtain timber and checking it will make your job easier.
